For future university students...

Right now A-level students are busy with exams; some lucky ones have already finished. We hope you are all successful, and those who plan to continue their education can attend the university of their choice.
If you are going to a UK university, take a look at the Times Online web site. There are articles on student issues such as living on a budget, and advice from current students in the Up Front section. There's even a Student Weblog about the experiences of a student as he goes through his first year at the University of Bristol.
Good luck and enjoy your future studies!

World Cup 2006

Is the World Cup dominating your life right now? If so you have probably already found plenty of good football web sites. This Internet Index has lots of links all in one place...it is an American site, so they call the game "Soccer", but there are links from all over the world.
Newsbank has a special report feature with full newspaper coverage of background articles and current events.
Enjoy the games, and good luck to everyone who joined in the KGV Fantasy Football League.

World Environment Day

Monday June 5 is World Environment Day. WED was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972, and is commemorated every June. This year the theme is Deserts and Desertification and the slogan is "Don't Desert Drylands!" The Hong Kong Environmental Campaign Committee will also mark WED. Here the focus is on wasted management, with the slogan "Be Responsible for Our Environment, I Can and So Can You". Find out more at the Biology "Topic of the Month" page.
