Have a great Summer!

Another successful KGV year is behind us, with a long summer to look forward to. For those who are looking forward to having extra spare time to spend on READING (!) there are some great book lists available on the web. Here are just a few ideas:

1. The HK Battle of the Books reading list: even if you are not going to join the BOB team, this is a fantasitic list of books. My favourites so far: Whale Rider by Witi Ihimaera, I, Coriander by Sally Gardner and A Night to Remember by Walter Lord. 2. Inside a Dog is one of the best sites for finding new and different books. There are themed booklists, book reviews from other readers, Chapter extracts and book quizzes. Try the "Travel Broadens the Mind" quiz to get in the mood for a vacation. (I scored 6 out of 10).


3. Readers' Cafe Book Shelf - books reviewed by teens from all over the world. Many of the books on this list have been KGV favourites.


4. Amazon Listmania is one source for book ideas - this one is a the 2007 Summer reading list from the International School of Lausanne. Some good suggestions from Switzerland!
